Hi, my son was married over the weekend and everything about Homestake was outstanding. If you are looking for a great environment this is it. Unbelievable location with outstanding service from the staff. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to ski, an event or just hang out. Mark, Lauren and their staff are outstanding. My niece had her rehearsal party & wedding here Aug. 15 & 16, 2025. Beautiful place & spectacular setting! We didn't stay on-site but I did see the cabin (cottage?) that my sister & brother-in-law had for the weekend & was sorry we didn't make arrangements to stay at least one night. I think most of the wedding party, if not all, were able to stay either in the lodge or the yurts. I'd love to visit in fall or winter. It would be amazing to cross-country ski there!
Wow!!!! This was the most authentic getaway of our lives!!! Everything was simply amazing! We saw the most incredible rainbow and the wide-open spaces had me singing songs from my childhood. We are from Texas and the cool summer nights were mind-blowing.
Homestake Lodge is already renowned for being one of the top destinations in the world, not just North America, for Cross-Country Skiing and Weddings and other special events, and for its amazing surroundings and outdoor activities. But Mark and Lauren and their family make this place even more special. They add heart and caring to the magic. They made things available when they weren't available. They made things happen when they couldn't happen. My family and I are forever in your debt of gratitude and appreciation for helping us send Trevor off. We enjoyed our visit very much. Our hosts were the best! So kind and giving. The cabin was really nice and comfortable. We especially loved the groomed trails! We hiked and biked several times on their 26 miles of trails. We would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the beautiful areas that surrounded the resort. We definitely want to come again. A+++++
We LOVED our stay at Homestake Lodge, just wish we could have stayed longer. Amazing hosts, fresh air, mountains, hiking on property, adorable well-equipped cabin. The highlight of our entire ten day vacation was doing a puzzle on the front porch. Highly recommend!
Homestake Lodge is a fantastic destination for cross-country skiing. Their trails are always impeccably groomed, offering a variety of options for all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner looking for easy loops, seeking a moderate challenge, or ready for more difficult terrain, there’s something for everyone. You can get a day pass, a season pass, or family pass at a very reasonable price! I took a skate ski lesson with group of friend and it was a ton of fun. Lauren is an incredible instructor—super knowledgeable but also just an all-around fun person to learn from. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up buying a pair of skis by the end of the season. If you’re looking for a great way to enjoy the winter, this is the perfect place to get outside and try something new. After skiing— go and try out their homemade soup, crêpes, bread rolls, and granola bars. I wish they had a restaurant in Butte because their food is so good! If you’re looking for a fun winter outing, Homestake Lodge is the place to go! My whole family absolutely loves Homestake Lodge!
If I could give 10 stars, I would. I've had the pleasure of visiting during the summer months for the most beautiful wedding venue and winter months to enjoy epic xc skiing. The lodge is gorgeous, the atmosphere feels like home, and I can't speak highly enough of Mark, Lauren, and their family that run the show. Very special people. Homestake Lodge is a gem.
